Choose Fabric according to pattern
If you are doing a strip collage, any size strips will work well
If you are doing a floral collage choose various sizes and colours of floral motifs to fussy cut.
Decide which colours you want to focus on and choose the florals based on that. For example
in the flamingo I wanted mainly pinks, but added some oranges, reds, yellows and purples for
variety as well as blues and teals for the wing. Fabrics simply cut into the shape of flowers
works well to
I prefer to choose my background fabric once I have completed the main collage piece, but
that is up to you

Prep work
If you choose Fabrics prior to the class that will give us more time to play with the layout on the
class day.
For florals rough cut around them, apply trans web, and than fussy cut the motifs. The more
that you have ready the more time you can spend applying them to your collage.
